Seals, Skateboards and Sunsets.

We decided to make the most of my last weekend down south and do fun and touristy things. Yay. We headed to the Seal Sanctuary at Gweek to look at cute things and just generally have a hoot. After a rather round about route there courtesy of Bumpy's navigating, we made it. The sanctuary is such a cute place, set in an incredible place right next to a river estuary, with trees everywhere, it's really pretty. They have a selection of seals that have been rescued from different places; it is really quite eye opening to see the effects of things like chemical spills in the sea (blindness and respiratory problems for the animals.) They give talks whilst feeding them so it is really great for kids, but we loved it too cause we're cool like that. The seals are just so cute with their big old puppy dog eyes and chubby floppy movements, plenty of "awwwws" going on. As well as seals and sea lions, the sanctuary also has penguins, otters and a rockpool section which are all well worth a visit.
After this, me and Kaye spent a while messing around on our new skateboards, I don't think we'll ever grow up.
We finished off a lovely day with a BBQ down at Sennen beach. Perfect.
It was lovely to spend some quality time with some of my favourites and it's always nice to make the most of being in such a special place:)
Did you guys all have a good weekend?

Becca.
